The family announces the passing of Doretha A. Wahl of Ferdinand, Indiana on September 8, 2026. Doretha, born on January 7, 1931, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband James "Jim" Wahl; and her siblings, Joan Verkamp, Donald and Earl "Brewster" Klueh. She is survived by: her children, Paul Wahl (Martha) of Ferdinand, Kenneth Wahl (Mary) of Newburgh, Patrick Wahl (Kristi) of Evansville, Mary Jane Whitsitt (Dennis) of Duff, Thomas Wahl (Tammy) and Nicholas Wahl (Corrine) of Indianapolis. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; and 30 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 7:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Becher Funeral Home (625 Main St, Ferdinand, IN 47532). A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ferdinand Church (840 Maryland St, Ferdinand, IN 47532).
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ferdinand Catholic Church or the Sisters of St. Benedict.
