Edgar F. Vaal Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edgar F. Vaal (Ferdinand, Indiana), who passed away on April 16, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Vaal and Mathilda Vaal (Werne); his wife Marion Wendholt; his sons, Randy and Mike Vaal; and his siblings, Alvin, Eugene Vaal, Mildred Hagedorn Leggett and Irene Wendholt.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce Vaal (Lea Ann) of New Albany, Lauren Rickelman (Ken) of Evansville and Gina Johnson (Richie) of Evansville; his daughters-in-law, Melody Vaal of Santa Claus and Lisa Vaal of Santa Claus; and his brother-in-law Edward Wendholt (Lorraine) of Jasper. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great- grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ferdinand American Legion or the Southern Indiana Honor Flight.
