He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Schipp and Mary Jo Schipp (Boeglin); his brothers, Steve and Bill Schipp; and his brothers-in-law, Patrick and Don Mehling.
He is survived by: his in-laws, Becky Mehling (Doug Reeder), Donna White (Larry) of Columbus, OH, Carol Mehling (Don Loehr) of Evansville, Jim Mehling (Sue Ellspermann), Bill Mehling (Sharon) and Jan Kersteins of Ferdinand. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 from 8:00 AM to 9:30 AM at the Becher Funeral Home (625 Main St, Ferdinand, IN 47532). A burial will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Ferdinand Church (840 Maryland St, Ferdinand, IN 47532).
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Ferdinand Church, Sisters of St. Benedict, or Forest Park Athletic Department.
