He is survived by: his sons, Ben Messmer (Heather) of Ferdinand and Tyler Messmer (Kelsey) of Huntingburg; his grandchildren, Skye, Hadley, Holden and Talon Messmer; and his siblings, John Messmer, Elaine Dill, Trina Schepers, Carol Matheis (Gary) and Alberta Bumm.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Becher Funeral Home (625 Main St, Ferdinand, IN 47532). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
