He was predeceased by: his parents, Vaghibhai Patel and Surajba Patel; his brother Ravjibhai Patel; and his wife Indira Patel. He is survived by: his children, Rajesh Patel (Jagruti), Rita Desai (Pravin) and Sangita Patel; his grandchildren, Chinmay Desai (Krishna), Romik Desai (Lekha), Rikin Patel (Brittanie), Yukti Patel (Dhruv) and Purva Patel; and his great grandchildren, Kriya, Vaani, Laksh, Ajay, Dhru and Reva.
