He was predeceased by: his parents, Maynard Nelson and Helen Nelson (Kolander). He is survived by: his wife Rosalyn Nelson (Workman); his children, Dana Vlach (Steve), David K. Nelson Jr. (Heather) and Lorie Richards (Troy); his grandchildren, Kate Vlach, Zac, Emma, Abby Nelson and Leah Richards; and his brother Gerald Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to Fishers United Methodist Church for the replacement of the lift at the Come To Me Food Pantry, one of the final projects Dave was actively and passionately supporting.
