He was predeceased by: his parents, William J. B. and Vivian Legg (Jacobs); his siblings, Wilma Bannon, Mary Wade, William O. Legg and Barbara Mitten; and his grandson Jonathan Legg.
He is survived by: his children, William E. Legg (Laura) of Elwood, Jennifer Habayeb of Fishers and Amy Utz (Chad) of Carmel; his grandchildren, Abigail Habayeb, Katherine Utz and Quinn Utz; and his sisters, Sara Gallatin (Ron) of Tipton and Judy Roseth of Indianapolis. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Copher-Fesler-May Funeral Home (415 S Anderson St, Elwood, IN 46036). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Quincy Masonic's Elwood Angel Fund (providing school supplies for local underprivileged children) through the funeral home or to WFYI PBS.
