He was predeceased by: his former wife Rita Banet (Blanc). He is survived by: his wife Wilma Kost; his children, Jeffrey Banet (Angie), Monica Bottorff (Greg), Christopher Banet and Kevin Banet (Ting Ting); his grandchildren, Nolan, Luke, Mallory, Leo, Abbigail, Reese, Lincoln, Easton, Ruby and Emily; his siblings, Rev. Stephen Banet, Paul Banet (Becky), Ralph Banet (Denise), Theresa Getrost (Gary) and Joan Endris (Joe); and his parents, Odell Banet and Berniece Banet (Schmidt). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and his special.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 8:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Knobs Catholic Church (5719 St Marys Rd, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119).
