He was predeceased by: his parents, Orlin Barger and Catherine Barger (Potts). He is survived by: his wife Lois Barger (Marchant); his sons, Steven Barger (Gail) and Brian Barger (Tanya); his brother Ralph Barger (Clara); and his grandchildren, Amber Barger (Caveh Masum), Rachel Turnley (David), Derek Barger (Maya), Grayson Barger, BriannaTenges (Ryan) and Rebecca Barger (Zach Odum). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes (1119 E Market St, New Albany, IN 47150). A memorial service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at the Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park (2778 Charlestown Rd, New Albany, IN 47150).
