He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Harpenau and Lorena Harpenau (Hagedorn); his wife Helen Harpenau; his sisters, Margaret Davis and Roberta Meunier; and his granddaughter Erin Harpenau.
He is survived by: his children, Marvin Harpenau of Princeton, IN, Melvin Harpenau of Princeton, IN, Betty Field (Don) of Olive Branch, MS and Brenda Harpenau of Evansville, IN.; his sister Rowena Waninger of St. Meinrad, IN; his grandchildren, Erica Harpenau, Jared Field (Molly), Preston Field (Iris), Jordan Harpenau, Brandon Kidd (Haley), Justin Kidd (Hailey) and Dylan Kidd; and his great grandchildren, Callie Field, Tucker Field and Daxton Kidd.
