He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Woodrow and Leona Sokeland (Wilderman). He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Sokeland; his children, Mike Sokeland (Debra) of Fort Branch, Linda Stone (Kurt) of Grafton, WI, Ed Sokeland (Tamrun) of Fort Branch and Jeff Sokeland (Pam) of Wadesville; his grandchildren, Chris, Steve, Elizabeth, Rachel (Zach), Grace (Zane), Daniel, Darian, Avery (Morgan), Eli, Oliver, Nicholas (Katie) and Adam (Candy); and his siblings, Betty Seibert and Don Sokeland. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22nd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, June 23rd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Cross Catholic Church (305 E Walnut St, Fort Branch, IN 47648). A committal service will be held on Monday, June 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Holy Cross Cemetery (228 E Park St, Fort Branch, IN 47648).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Cross Catholic Church, St. Joseph Catholic Church in Princeton, or St. Bernard Catholic Church in Snake Run.
