He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Whitten and Charles Whitten; his wife Peggy Whitten; and his parents-in-law, Charlotte May and Kenny May.
He is survived by: his children, Casey Whitten (Lisa), Jonna Whitten and Sean Whitten (Lyndsey); his grandchildren, Haley Schmitt (Josh), Mackenzie Whitten (David Jin), Shayla Dilbeck (Logan), Tobe Whitten (Megan), Charlie, Ty and Maylee Whitten; and his great grandchildren, Owen, Olivia Schmitt, Senna, Gus Jin, Ruby and Lainey Whitten. He is also survived by his children and family, in the grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A rosary was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM at the Stodghill Funeral Home Inc. (500 E Park St, Fort Branch, IN 47648). Visitation was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church (211 N Vine St, Haubstadt, IN 47639).
