She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter C. Miller and Irma M. Miller (Jordan); her husband George A. Shelper; and her brother David Miller. She is survived by: her sister-in-law Joretta Miller; her niece Erin Hughes (Miller); her nephew Eric Miller; her cousin Roger Miller; her daughter Janice Voreis (Heimann); and her stepchildren, Ray Shelper (Pam) of Clio, MI, Michele Hawkins (Jim) of Lennon, MI and Mala Schmidt (Dan) of Fremont, MI.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor may be directed to Humane Fort Wayne (formerly Allen County SPCA).
