She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Prestwood, Sr. and Charlene Mims; her siblings, Fred Prestwood Jr., James Harvey Newmon, Larry Lamar Newmon, Charles Edward Newmon and Bonnie King; her son Vincent Jerod Gant; her uncles, Andrew "Uncle Sonny" Archie (Gayle), Earl Roberson (Jessie) and Jim Hayes (Patricia); her niece Twilah Newmon; and her granddaughters, Shaquay Booker and LaToya Quattropani.
She is survived by: her significant other Thomas James Macon; her children, Douglas Gant (Tina), Anthony Macon (Marchetta), Tim Macon (Tracy), LaShawn McKinley, Lamar Porter (Altermeise), Mynjuan Jones, Andrea Quattropani (Mark) and LaQuisha Edwards (Gary); her aunts, Patricia Hayes (Aunt Pat), Robbie Pillion and Rose Collins; her sisters, Jacqueline Newmon, Yvonne Harris (Tyree) and Mary Calmes (Willie); and her pet Blue Macon.
A wake will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Community Baptist Church (3032 Smith St, Fort Wayne, IN 46806). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
