He was loved and cherished by many people including: parents: Herbert Benjamin Smith and Eulee Kirby Smith; wife: Cheryl L. Smith; children: Cynthia (Jack) Parker, Marinda (Jerry) Wiseman, Crystal (Phillip) Bell, Garrett Smith, and Julia (Charlie) Gorney; stepdaughter: Ronda (Tim) Harris; grandchildren: Bree Gordon, Tim Woodward, Brandon Woodward, Brittney Johnson, Thomas Bush, Austin Stanley, Ethan Harris, and Andrew Harris; sisters: Linda Williamson, Brooks Jackson, and Nita Yarborough (Burnett); brothers: Danny Smith, Reynolds Smith, and H. B. Smith; sisters: Rounette Belue, Catherine Duke, Dell Prosser, and Janie Knight; granddaughter: Ciara Smith; and seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Leo Methodist Church (13527 Leo Rd, Leo, IN 46765). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
