With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Aubrey Powell Jr. of Fort Wayne, Indiana, born in Fort Hood, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 11, 2025 at the age of 70. He was predeceased by: his parents, Aubrey Dean and Louise Powell Sr. Dean; his brother Michael; his great-nephew Cordaryal; his brother-in-law Thad Miller; and his cousin Charles "Skeeter" Adamonis.
He is survived by: his wife Tina Powell; his sisters, Valorie Miller and Marie Rothgeb (Michael); his daughters, Jennifer Kellum (Kenneth), Monica Sliger (Nicolas) and Megan Powell (Bryan Savage); his stepsons, Kenny Starnes and Zach Burnside; his grandchildren, Kendall, Jeremiah, Milo and Owen; his nieces and nephews, Heather, Amanda, Shawna, Christina, Michelle, Michael, Michael Jr. and Kurtis; and his siblings-in-law, Brenda Rupright (Dan), Peggy and Chris Hoffman (Angie). He is also survived by many great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the American Legion Post 409 (14133 Leo Rd, Leo, IN 46765). The military honors will be held on Saturday, July 26th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to American Legion Post 409 or to the family for burial costs.
