She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Hewes and Mildred Hewes. She is survived by: her children, Greg Smith (Tammy), Todd Smith (Marge) and Jill Bobay (Don); and her siblings, Evelyn Hine, Harvey F. Hewes and Earl Hewes Jr.. She is also survived by six grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or Humane Fort Wayne.
