She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Schenkel and Martha Schenkel (Eckrich); her son Kevin Claymiller; her grandsons, Michael Rice and Ben Perry; and her sister Theresa Overmeyer.

She is survived by: her husband Melvin H. Claymiller; her sons, Charles "Chuck" Claymiller of Kendallville, Dennis Claymiller of Laotto and Edward Claymiller (Gail) of Harlan; her granddaughters, Samantha "Sam" Claymiller of Fort Wayne and Brandi Walter (Jeff) of Woodburn; and her siblings, Joellyn Hamilton of Fort Wayne, Linda Sweeney (Jim) of Fort Wayne, Steve Schenkel of Fort Wayne and Mark Schenkel (Marta) of Syracuse. She is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.
