Carol L. Crist Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carol L. Crist of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on June 21, 2025 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Jim; her parents, Kenneth Mertens and Florence Mertens; and her stepmother Margaret Mertens. She is survived by: her children, Tom Crist (Trish), Cheryl Schmidt (Joe) and Dan Crist (Michelle); her grandchildren, Rose, Addy, Cami, Liza, Olivia, Maddy, Ryan and Alex; and her brother Ken Mertens (Cathy).
In honor of her lifelong dedication to education, memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist School in New Haven.
