We are sad to announce that, on March 4, 2026, at the age of 93, Carol Mae Scherer of Fort Wayne, Indiana, born in Avon Lake, Ohio passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Carol Mae Scherer to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Thompson and Pearl Thompson; her sister Barbara; her brother-in-law Hal Bechtel; and her husband Al.

She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Tedrow (Jerry) of Delta, Ohio and Dan Scherer (Lana) of Fort Wayne, Indiana; her grandchildren, Jeremy Tedrow, Matt Tedrow (Mike Boivin), Alan Scherer (Laura Cook) and Allison Scherer; and her great grandchild Gianna Garritano. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Churubusco Public Library in Churubusco, Indiana.
