She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Claude Lawson and Dora Lawson (Halsey); her husband Earl Whitman; her grandson Matthew Peconge; her great grandchild Keaton Antonio Whitman; and her sister Nancy Cornett.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia L. Peconge (Paul), Mark Earl Whitman and Tamera Kay Salmons (Anthony); her siblings, Phyllis Weber (James) and James Lawson (Elaine); and her brother-in-law Doyle Cornett. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the The Pentecostals of Fort Wayne (935 Farwood Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46816). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 24th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
