He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert H. Kimmel and Betty R. Kimmel (Winebrenner); and his siblings, Robert Kimmel Jr., Elaine Crum, Phillip Kimmel and Steve Kimmel.
He is survived by: his wife Jane A. Kimmel (Mettler); his daughters, Heather Plemons of Fort Wayne and Sara Kimmel of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Olivia Kimmel, Jacob Plemons and Jenna Plemons; and his sisters, Loretta Hauser-Hicks (Don), Marilyn Waikel, Phyllis Kimmel and Sally Sgro (Ted).
