He was predeceased by: his father Jesse Ellis; and his brother Ron Ellis. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ellis of Fort Wayne; his children, Veira Hendrickson (Tim) of Fort Wayne, Ben Ellis (Reva) of Fort Wayne and Sonya Ellis-Dunn (Kyle) of Rochester, NY; his grandchildren, Cheyanne, Brandon and Hailey; his sisters, Sandra Moonen (Henk) and Vicki Himes; and his sister-in-law Tina Ellis.
