It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Eugene Smith of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on June 27, 2025, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Smith and Flora Smith. He is survived by: his wife Dana G. Smith; his children, Debra Vega (Aaron) of Holyoke, MA and Douglas Smith (Joy) of Elizabeth City, NC; his grandchildren, Lexi, Destiny, Courtney, Odin, Kolbj and Ciara; his great grandchild Kylan; and his brother Gregory Smith of Fort Wayne, IN..
Visitation was held on Monday, July 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the D. O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes - Pine Valley (1320 E Dupont Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). The military honors was held on Tuesday, July 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
