He was predeceased by: his parents, Green Burns and Marie Burns (Ahause). He is survived by: his friend Patty Burns; and his children, Dallas "Goober" (Pam), Lisa Yoquelet, Jesse Burns (Danielle), Josh Burns (Caylyn "Pete") and Ben Burns. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Cancer Services of NE Indiana.
