He is survived by: his wife Edna Heckber; his children, Steven Smith (Carolyn), Ronald Smith, Shari Schaab, Bradley Olson (Shirley) and Nikki Olson; and his sister Sharon Kaufman (Ted). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be given to Emmanuel Lutheran Church or Humane Fort Wayne.
