He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Luther and Rosa Luther; his siblings, Betty Robbins, Clarence, Louis, Robert and Richard Luther; and his son-in-law David Childers.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Ault (Brian), Janet Shovlin, Chuck Luther and Kathleen Childers; and his sister Anne Luther. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
