He was predeceased by: his father Edward Leffers; his siblings, Paul, Charles Leffers and Ruth Stapleton; and his grandson Craig Tallent.

He is survived by: his wife Elanor Jean Leffers; his children, Timothy Leffers (Peggy), Matthew Leffers (Dawn), Connie Campbell (Fred) and Sharon Tallent (Larry); and his siblings, Kathryn Riecke (Phil) and Arthur Leffers. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 45 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to Knights of Columbus.
