She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Borcherding and Marie Borcherding (Stairheim); and her siblings, Jim Borcherding and Dorothy Bumgardner. She is survived by: her son Michael Hughes (Kelly); her grandchildren, Ella Tippmann (T. J.), Grace Tippmann (Devon), Dominic, Cecelia, Jake, Penelope and Gabriel Hughes; and her sisters, Patricia Ballinger, Sharon Fawley and Marilyn Mungovan (Gerald). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 23rd 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 8:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (4916 Trier Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815).
