The passing of Doris J. Bermes of Fort Wayne, Indiana leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on December 8, 2025 at the age of 93. She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Beckman and Dorothy Beckman (Hippenhammer); her husband Charles Bermes; her siblings, Richard Beckman, Rosie Renninger, Mary Bangert, Sandra Pleus and Barbara Smith; her son-in-law Larry Harness; and her grandsons, Jeff Krider and Timothy Bermes.
She is survived by: her children, Charles "Chuck" Bermes, Jr., Ricky Bermes, Diane Bermes, Rita Harness, Carol Clark (Don), Debbie Murphy (Tim), Patricia Veerkamp (Mark), Julie Bermes and Barb Pickens (Shane); her sister Linda Coil (Mike); and her brother-in-law Larry Plues. She is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren; fifty-six great-grandchildren; and many great-great-grandchildren.
A rosary will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Divine Mercy Funeral Home (3500 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805). Visitation will be held on Monday, December 15th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 16th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Saint Jude Catholic Church (2130 Pemberton Dr, Fort Wayne, IN 46805).
