She was predeceased by: her parents, Melvin Eugene and Mildred Irene Walters; her former husband James Eugene Degitz; her daughter Kathleen Hyndman; her husband Howard Francis Olry; her grandson Bradley Ware; her siblings, Bob Walters (Janice), Donald Walters (Wilma), Kenneth Walters (Phyllis) and Maxine Teller (Bruce); and her brothers-in-law, Paul Lyon and Clyde Osbun.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Ware (Harold), Jim Degitz (Judy), Dan Degitz (Kathy), Steven Degitz (Jan) and Phil Degitz (Holly); her stepchildren, Robert Olry (Joy), Nancy Loftus (Robert), Diane Kratzert (Bob) and Cheryl Gephart (Kenneth); her siblings, Dave Walters (Ruth), Ruth Lyon, Judy Osbun and Nila Zellers (Skip); and her son-in-law Steve Hyndman. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; numerous, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, November 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church (1502 E Wallen Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46825).
