Earnestine Sykes Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on January 9, 2026, at the age of 81, Earnestine Sykes in Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her mother Fannie Burnett; her daughter Annette Swann; and her son-in-law Gerald Wilson. She is survived by: her children, Elijah Swann, Janice Walker (Tyrone), Elizabeth Wilson, Daniel Swann (Sabrina) and Andre Sykes (Jana); and her siblings, J. C. Jackson (Kathy), Robert Jackson (Patricia), Annie Holiness, Jesse Jackson (Shanelle), William Hogue, Mary Kate Hogue, Kenny Burnett, Walter Greene (Beryl), L. C. Jackson, Frank Jackson, Oster Jackson, Ricky Jackson, Jesse Lee Jackson, Jesse James Jackson, Annie Jackson and Mac Jackson. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren.
