He was predeceased by: his parents, Willie H. Hamilton and Edna Hamilton (Newsome); his wife Sara Lee; his daughters, Michelle Hamilton and Amy Harvey; and his siblings, Leroy Hamilton, Gary Hamilton, Billie Joyce Issac and Geraldine Newsome.
He is survived by: his daughter Lori Smith of Fort Wayne, IN; his siblings, Terry Hamilton (Frieda) of Teaberry, KY, Janet Sue Fuller (Otis) of Coldwater, MI and Janet Joyce Hall (Brian) of Tiffin, OH; his grandchildren, Gage Girvin of Fort Wayne, IN, Elizabeth Hayes (Jess) of Bloomington, IN, Alexandra Howard (Jacob) of Fort Wayne, IN, Sophia Smith of Fort Wayne, IN, Cameron Smith (Jayna) and Kurt Smith (Zoe) of Fort Wayne, IN.; his great grandchild London Girvin; and his close friend Marta Caley of Huntington, IN..
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the McElhaney Funeral Home (715 N Jefferson St, Huntington, IN 46750). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the London E. Girvin Education Fund in care of McElhaney Funeral Home, 715 N. Jefferson Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
