He was predeceased by : his parents, Lafayette Brumfield and Lillian Brumfield; and his siblings, Carol Meade, Bud Brumfield, Leola Stout and Rose Bickford.

He is survived by : his wife Leila Brumfield; his sons, Densil Brumfield and Shane Brumfield (Christine Rice); his grandchildren, Faith, Hope and Michael; his stepgrandchildren, Elizabeth and Noah; and his siblings, Betty Shepherd (Jack), Larry Brumfield (Billie) and Chester Brumfield (Theada). He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the FairHaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N Clinton St, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 18th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
