We are sad to announce that, on March 28, 2024, at the age of 99, Elise Layson of Fort Wayne, Indiana, born in Hampton, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Eugene and Ollie Sauls (Corbin); her husband Francis R. Layson; and her siblings, Bessie Clark, Ollie Clark, Mary Smith Judy Moseley, Brenda Collins and Charles E. Sauls.

She is survived by: her children, Sandra Mecuk (Ahmet) and Jeffrey Layson (Deb) of Ft; and her sister Daggy Goette of Savannah, GA.. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a great-great grandson.

Memorials may be directed in Elise's memory to the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church or the Heart-to-Heart Hospice.
