She was predeceased by: her parents, Gustav Kirste and Katharina Kirste; and her husband Kurt Hedenus. She is survived by: her sisters, Margarete Matiszik of Fort Wayne and Lischen Minartz of Fort Wayne. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
