Ellen Jackson Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on October 16, 2025, at the age of 81, Ellen Jackson of Fort Wayne, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Ellen leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Orville Hilsmier and Della Hilsmier (Springer); and her siblings, Robert Lee Hilsmier, Annette Bunnell and Donna Hippensteele.

She is survived by: her son Nathaniel Mendill (Sarah); and her siblings, Ann Marie Voors and Orville Hismier, Jr. (Margie). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
