He was predeceased by: his parents, Elpidio Ortiz and Esther Rios. He is survived by: his wife Carmen Ortiz; his son Alex Ortiz (Carmen (Adam) Matlock); and his grandchildren, Axel Ortiz, Hannah Ortiz, Ezra Matlock, Ian Ortiz, Atia Matlock and Xander Matlock. He is also survived by eight siblings; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Avalon Missionary Church (1212 Lower Huntington Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46819). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be given to Iglesia Avalon.
