He was predeceased by: his mother Anna Maude Griffith (Steele); his wife Colleen Griffith (Chaney); his daughter Kimberle Stafford (Griffith); his sister Jane Ineman (Griffith); and his parent Ford Lauren Griffith Senior.

He is survived by: his children, Gayle Mann (Steve) and Scott Griffith; his granddaughters, Cassandra Bisig (Ian), Jill Rowe (Clint) and Nicole Bathalter (Adam); his daughter-in-law Carolyn Griffith; and his close friend Jane Green. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Wellspring Interfaith Social Services, St Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, or The University of St Francis.
