With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Frederick M. Slyford of Fort Wayne, Indiana, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick John Grant and Dorothy Jean Slyford (Thompson). He is survived by: his wife Darlene Slyford; his children, Angela Slentz, Adam Slyford (Suzanne), Heather Beard, Ryan Patterson, Blake Patterson and Leslie Borchers (Dustin); his grandchildren, Rowan Tinker, Pearl Slentz, Emerson Slyford, Grant Slyford, Gavin Beard, Hudson Beard, Corbin Beard, Audrina Patterson, McKenna Patterson, Alex Burns, Ailey Borchers and Deacon Borchers; and his brothers, David Slyford (Barb Weitzman) and Greg Slyford. He is also survived by relatives and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Fairhaven Funeral Home and Cremation Services (6557 N Clinton St, Fort Wayne, IN 46825). Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
