Though Gary may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Emory Friend and Lucille Friend. He is survived by: his children, Tracey of Winston-Salem, NC and Jill Santos of Fort Wayne, IN.; his grandson Seth Santos of Fort Wayne; his sister Lois; his friend Oakland, MD; his brother Lyndon; and his wife Wilma.
