He is survived by: his wife Gidget O'Brien (Githens); his children, Whitney O'Brien (Kyle) of Fort Wayne, Trevor O'Brien (Jonelle) of Fayetteville, Danielle Havener (Nathan) of Fort Wayne and Mercedez Franco of Leland; his grandsons, Kinsington Havener, James O'Brien and Joshua O'Brien; his sisters, Bobbi Holmes (Jeff), Jamie O'Brien, Jacki O'Brien and Terri O'Brien-Spicer (Jeremy); his mother-in-law Donna Githens; and his siblings-in-law, Penny Webster (Byron) and Dave Keipper (Patty). He is also survived by his family, friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Purdue Alumni Center (1528 E California Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46805).
