He is survived by: his wife Eleni Mangos; his children, Judy Lopez (Victor), Mike Rongos, Jimmy Rongos, Chris Rongos (Kathy) and Jerry Rongos (Jamie); his grandchildren, George Raptis (Stacy), Niko Rongos, Jeannie Sherbino (Jarred), George M. Rongos, Leticia Lopez, Eleni A. Rongos, George C. Rongos, Yianna Rongos, Geno Rongos, Angelo Rongos, Anthony Rongos and Maria Rongos; and his great grandchildren, Spyros, Lia and Yiani Raptis.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in George Rongos's memory.
