He was predeceased by: his former wife Eileen; his wife Kay; his son David; his sister Priscilla; and his grandchildren, Sybil and Joel.

He is survived by: his daughter Judith; his son-in-law Irvin Nathan; and his grandsons, Michael and Eric Walter.

After his retirement, he was chair of the downtown Community Center Foundation for 20 years.
