He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer F. Krauter and Verna Krauter (Woods); his siblings, Donald, Maxine and Helen; his wife Luella Maxine Miller (Synesall); his stepgrandchildren, Brian Miller and Lori Curry (Miller); his son-in-law Roger Longyear; and his stepdaughter-in-law Mary Miller.
He is survived by: his daughters, Beckie Longyear (Krauter) and Bonnie Kimmell (Krauter); his stepdaughter-in-law Carolyn Miller (Dunn); his grandchildren, Leslie Wechter (Longyear), Stacey DeLong (Longyear), Laura Freed (Longyear), Ryan Longyear (Jessica) and Amanda Warner (Kimmell); and his stepgrandchildren, Kris Miller (Barbara), Kelli Barr (Miller) and Cindy Staples-Hopper (Miller). He is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at the D. O. McComb and Sons Funeral Homes - Maplewood Park (4017 Maplecrest Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46815). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 18th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
