With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Helen E. Nix of Fort Wayne, Indiana, who passed away on April 4, 2023 at the age of 96. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Helen E. Nix to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her father Herman; her siblings, Anthony, Paul, Thomas, Bernard, Gustave, Robert Berghoff, Alice Devine and Mary Cambre; her daughter-in-law Elena Nix; and her grandson Josh Wertz.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara Roberts (Michael), Stephen Nix (Tanya), Philip Nix (Kathie), Jeffrey Nix, Marilyn Nix, Sarah Didier, Gerald Nix (Barb) and Mary Wertz (Scott); and her sister Carol Coffaro. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given for Masses, EWTN, the Franciscan Center and St. Mary's Soup Kitchen.
