He was predeceased by: his parents, John Beattie and Mary Beattie; and his sisters, Mary Elizabeth and Sandra Joan. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Beattie; his children, Julanne Molitor (John) and Brian Beattie; his grandchildren, Emily Molitor and Jeremiah Molitor; and his brother John Beattie Jr..
