With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Howard P. Fischer (Fort Wayne, Indiana), born in Elmhurst, Illinois, who passed away on February 18, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Fischer and Loretta Fischer; his wife Marilyn Fischer; his brother-in-law Bill Riecks; his sister Jill; his brother-in-law Nelson Edwards; and his brother Jim Fischer.
He is survived by: his children, Charlotte Tucker (Sean) of Pompton Lakes, NJ, Howard Fischer (Jennifer) of Danville, IN, Brett Fischer (Paige) of Bloomington, IN and Stephanie Collis (Bill) of Roanoke, IN; his grandchildren, Nick (Kelly), Ben (Danielle), Rachael (Claire), Samuel, Bryce, Elliot, Erin, Kitima, Cohen, Gabriel and Andrew; his great grandchildren, Liana, Jacob and Dorothea; his sisters, Nancy Riecks of North Canton, OH, Peggy Holewinski (Mike) of Toledo, OH and Heidi Smith (Jim) of Toledo, OH; and his sister-in-law Bonnie Fischer of Swanton, OH. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
