He was predeceased by: his father James A. Chapman, Sr.; his sister Jemarja Chapman; and his brother-in-law Lawrence Johnson. He is survived by: his mother Eualeen Chapman; his wife Virginia Chapman; his son Justin Alexander; his stepdaughters, Teya Graham and Johnique Smith (Jae); his siblings, Tony Chapman (Diane), Denese Johnson, Alma Mieshun Coleman and Debra Williams; his grandchildren, Tristan Portee, True and Trinity Henry; his stepgrandchildren, Taron, Jiya Graham and Khilyn Tyms; his siblings-in-law, Nathaniel Brown, Samuel, William, Lewis, John Graham, Liz Sheffield and Laura Graham; Tiberius A. Smith Sr. (Joslyn). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Greater Progressive Baptist Church (2215 John St, Fort Wayne, IN 46806). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
