He is survived by: his wife Donna Manuel; his children, Karen DeRose of Fort Wayne, Cindy Lude (Jeff) of Columbia City, Lori Jackson (Ryan) of Huntington, James DeRose (Nikki) of Fort Wayne and Thomas DeRose (Susan) of Fort Wayne; his grandchildren, Matthew, Alli, Jarred, Aiden, Maddie, Gavin, Alivia, Jemma, Joseph, Kylie and Rob; his great grandchildren, Hudson, Hadley and Ivana; his siblings, Patrick DeRose (Shirley), Marilyn Gatton of Fort Wayne, Carolyn Minnich (Steve) of New Haven, Diane Dantzer (Ron) of Huntington, John DeRose (Trina) of Hoagland, Theresa Rosswurm (Lynn) of Butler, Virginia Kirby, Helen Carrico (Mark) of Fort Wayne and Mary Sievers (Brian) of New Haven; and his brother-in-law Lee Dilley of Fort Wayne.
